The LUX 27 hangs like a heavy framed mirror: a bracket screwed to the wall, the mirror hooked onto the bracket. It needs a standard power outlet within reach of the cord and a wall that can carry the load.
Choosing the spot
- Centre it on the chair at the height a client's face sits when seated — the camera on the side of the mirror needs to see faces, not foreheads.
- Keep strong light sources (a window, a bare bulb) out of the mirror's view. Even, front-facing light makes the camera and the gesture control work best.
- Make sure the outlet is reachable without an extension cord across the floor.
Fixing the bracket
- Find the studs or use anchors rated for the mirror's weight on the mounting sheet in the box. Drywall anchors alone are not enough.
- Level the bracket, drive the screws, and pull on it hard before hanging anything.
- Hang the mirror, check that both hooks are seated, then plug it in.
Not sure about the wall? A local handyman or AV installer can mount it in under an hour. Installation and any electrical work at your premises are yours to arrange.
